2023 Summer Student Research Program
In order to develop youngsters in biotechnology, the Academia Sinica Southern Biotechnology Center (located in Shalun Smart Green Energy Science City, Tainan, next to the Tainan High Speed Rail Station) provides excellent teachers and encourages college students to use the summer vacation to participate in special research projects at the center. Admitted college students go to the center to receive guidance during the summer vacation in order to complete relevant research projects.
Qualifications
All university students studying in life science-related departments.
Period
From July 3rd to September 1st, 112th year of the Republic of China.
Bursaries
Each admitted student is provided with a minimum monthly allowance of NT$10,000 per month, and an accommodation allowance is provided to students whose registered place of residence is not in Tainan City.
Certificate of completion
After students complete their research projects, they will hold a public lecture to present their results, and the center will issue a certificate of completion.

Review process and results
After the deadline for receiving applications, teachers in each laboratory will conduct the selection process and contact the applicants for interviews. The final selection results will be announced on the center’s website on June 5, 2023.
